Jake Burkons Giving Back
At this stage in my life, I am thinking about what I can do to give back to my community and to help make our world a better place.
When I was young, I got involved in some causes.
For my Bar Mitzvah I raised money for the 4 Mom Foundation that raises money to support caregivers for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
As a teen, I volunteered with Friendship Circle of Cleveland spending time with kids with special needs.
In my junior year, I was named, along with many of my peers, an Outstanding Teen Friend Maker.
As I start college, I’m looking forward to finding new ways to give back and contribute.
